Claudius Milton Capps was born on Jan 5 1893 in Stella, Newton Co., Missouri to Samuel Atkins Capps and Mary Frances Lewis Capps. He was the 7th of 10 children. His siblings included:

Pariz Pzaro Capps, James Willis Capps, Infant Girl Capps, Ollie Minerva Capps, Infant Capps, George Adkins Capps, Sarah Lodusca "Duck" Elizabeth Capps and Cynthia Anna Capps.

On November 26 1916 he married Amy Lucretia Capps. Together they would have 4 children: Samuel Clarence "Fat" Capps who had been killed in a mining accident, Bessie Mae Capps, William Junior Capps and Wilma Lea Capps. They would later be blessed with eleven grandchildren.

After only 26 years of marriage, Claudius Milton Capps died on Jan 19 1942 in Granby, Newton Co., Missouri. His wife would follow him seventeen years later.
