Mother Mary J. "Mollie" RICHARDSON - Mary J. Richardson Bale Robertson Shackelford
1940 census shows that Emma is living with Roy Richard Robertson and Helen Robertson at their home in Houston Texas - she had previously lived with them in Kilgore Texas. Helen cared for her through a long decline and illness.
Roy Richard Robertson 104785138 was their adopted son. In fact he was her step brother, the last of 12 children, he and his twin brother were separated after their mother died and father remarried (to Emma's mother.)
His birth name was Grant Leroy Shackelford. He fulfilled his duty to care for her in her old age, although it must be said that it was in fact her daughter-in-law who nursed her for a number of years.
