He is survived by his wife, Jean, son Dean and daughter, Joanne Bernadette.
He was well known for many things but one was his love of his garden at 106 Quebec Road, Tilbury, in particular his extensive collection of gnomes which he lovingly kept regularly painted.
The funeral service was held at Tilbury's Roman Catholic church, Our Lady, Star of the Sea on Friday 22nd February.
