S/O EUGENE S. HOSTETTERSimon Clifford Hostettler, 84, formerly of Thorntown, Indiana died Monday, October 15, 2012 at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. He was born September 7, 1928 in Ladoga, Indiana to Eugene S. and Nora F. (Martin) Hostetter. Simon attended Stump School, graduated Bowers High School. Simon was a farm worker; he retired after over 25 years from Hazelrigg Grain Elevator. Simon was Past Master of Thorntown F&A.M. #13. He was also a member of American Legion, Bass Anglers Sportsmen, North America Fishing Club and Wild Life Forever. He served in the Indiana National Guard SVC BTRY 139th FA BATT. 1948-1954. Simon was preceded in death by both parents; sister Wilma Jean (McTegue) Richardson of Delphi, Indiana. He is survived by his cousins Elaine Hatfield Pickering, Dianne Hatfield Combs and Elizabeth Ann Hatfield. Simon will be laid to rest at the Harshbarger Cemetery in Ladoga, Indiana with private family graveside services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon.
