From Gerald's obituary, found in the "Flint Journal," page 62, 29 October 1969: ALLEN, Gerald - 1072 Forest Ave., age 46, died Wednesday, October 29, 1969, at Hurley Hospital. Burial in Parma Cemetery, Missouri. Mr. Allen will lie in state at the Reigle Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 2417 S. Saginaw St., until 10 this evening, will then be shipped to Missouri for funeral services and burial. Mr. Allen was born in Missouri, July, 1923. Surviving are: Mother, Mrs. Vera Allen.
Also surviving are following children: son Gerald, son Thomas, daughter Kathleen, daughter Betty Sue and son James.
