Life Legacy

Dale Eugene McAboy, 90, of Ottawa, died on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.

Memorial services will be at 12 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd in Oakwood Memorial Park, where full military rites will be conducted. Arrangements are through Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.

Dale was born on November 19, 1922 in Clinton, to John Roy and Sarah Eva (Gephart) McAboy. He served his country at the Battle of the Bulge during WWII. Dale married Betty L. Rensch on July 14, 1974 at Evangelical United Methodist Church in Ottawa. He was a member of the American Legion, the Masonic Temple and Evangelical United Methodist Church.

Dale was preceded in death by his wife Betty, a son John Frederick McAboy, 2 brothers, Roy and Harry and a sister JoAnne.

Memorials may be directed to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
