Mrs. Mary Ost died at the residence of her husband, Peter Ost in the eastern part of the city last Thursday morning April 4th 1889. Mrs. Ost was born in Germany, and was nearly 78 years old. She was a member of the Catholic church. Her remains were laid at rest in the Catholic cemetary at Effingham.—Muscotah Record.
