Native Of City,
Dies Suddenly

Richard Granville Wolfinger,
son of the late Mr, and Mrs. Scott
M. Wolfinger, this city, died suddenly
at 5:30 Sunday evening
at his home, 1925 Walter Street,
Camp Hill, Pa., aged 57 years.
Death was due to a heart attack.
Mr. Wolfinger was born and
reared in this city. He attended
the V. S. Naval Academy at Annapolis
and later graduated as a
civil engineer from the University
of Cincinnati. He was with the
Pennsylvania Power and Light
Co. for 24 years and the last five
he was with the Department of
Public Instruction of the State of
Pennsylvania.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran
Church, Camp Hill, the
Masonic Lodge, Consistory and
Zemo Temple of Harrisburg and
of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional
Engineers.
Mr. Wolfinger was the last of
his immediate family. His father,
a prominent member of the Washington
County Bar and a former
State's Attorney, died 16 years
ago. His mother died a few years
later and about ten years ago his
brother, William C. Wolfinger, suffered
a heart attack and died.
The family resided for many years
on Dewey Avenue.
Mr. Wolfinger inherited the fine
Marsh Pike farm owned by
his father for years and spent Saturday
at the farm conferring with
his tenant.
Surviving are his widow, Gladys
A. Wolfinger; sons, Richard S.,
Camp Hill and John W., U. S. Air
Force, Texas; two grandsons.
Funeral services will be held
Wednesday at 2 p. m., at the
Myers Funeral Home in Camp Hill
with the Rev. Herbert W. Stroup,
Jr., officiating. Burial in Rolling
Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
Friends may call at the funeral,
home Tuesday evening between 7
and 9 o'clock.
