Bobby Gene Chappell, 70 years old of Tickfaw, died November 11, 2010, in North Oaks Medical Center. He was born on May 25, 1940, in Elba, AL, son of the late Simmie Robert and Pearley Bret Williams Chappell. Surviving are his sons, Bobby Gene Chappell Jr., Ronald Scott Chappell, Kenneth Chappell, Christopher Andre Chappell, daughter, Jennifer Marie Chappell, 6 grandchildren, his brothers, Albert, Troy, Roy, Herbert, and Paul Chappell, and a sister, Gertrude Smith. He is preceded in death by his wife, Karla Chappell, brother, Raymond Chappell, and sisters, May Bell Marler, and Idell Smith. Friends will be received on Sunday, November 14, 2010, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel in Hammond on Sunday at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Little River Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Tickfaw
