LUCILLE WATSON FORMAN - Lucille Watson, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 1997. She was born in Iowa August 22, 1918, daughter of Roy and Zelda Hanley Watson. Mrs. Forman played First Coronet in the band and was Mid-West Swim Champion and held the Iowa University pool swim record while at Roosevelt High school in Des Moines. She was secretary, Vieshia Central Committee and President of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and Associated Women Students and was selected Outstanding Student in Student Government at Iowa State university. She married Dr. Charles R. Forman on December 18, 1939 at Ames, IA, and moved to Ft. Lauderdale in June of 1940. Lucy operated the Forman Milk Depot; was President of the New River, Sunset and Sunrise. PTA'S; a member of the Ft. Lauderdale and Broward County Parks Boards; was Southeastern U.S. Regional Gamma Phi Beta Officer; an avid golfer and long time member of the Ft. Lauderdale Country Club and President of the Ft. Lauderdale Ladies Golf Assoc.; Director of the Ft. Lauderdale Swim Assoc. and Sunrise Pool Building Assoc. She taught Sunday School and was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church.
