His parents were Philemon Berry Waters (1808-1888) and Sarah Ann Womack (1816-1873) FAG Memorial #24747010. Philemon was presumably buried in Texas, but I have not located a death record or a FindAGrave memorial for him. "In Loving Memory of Uncle Dick" The inscription was undoubtedly written by Richard's grandneice, Phillipa B Gunter Kynette, whose mother was Katherine Godowine Bragg Gunter.
