Melida Esther Crisantes Garza, age 70, passed away peacefully on Friday January 15, 2010 in Corpus Christi, Texas surrounded by her family. Melida (Mildred as she was known by her friends) was born on December 22, 1939 in C.C.TX to Esther Gonzalez and Pedro Crisantes. She attended Roy Miller High School. She was a devout catholic. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.
She was preceded in death by her father Pedro Crisantes and her daughter Cynthia " Cindy" Sanchez and maternal grandparents Enrique and Virgina Gonzalez .
She is survived by her husband of 50 yrs. Sammy Garza Sr. One daughter Diana (Lorenzo) Gomez , Five sons Sammy Jr.(Sandra), David Sr. (Melissa), Danny (Rosalinda), Tommy Garza all of CC. Tx and Martin Garza of San Diego, California. Also surviving are her mother Esther Gonzalez, sister, Angie (Emilio) Perez, brother, Martin (Sylvia) Crisantes of San Antonio, Tx, Her close cousin Anna Reyna, Sister in Law, Oralia (Lela) Garcia. 16 grandchildren, 2 great-grandsons and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She will be missed immensely and will remain in our hearts and memory forever!
