She was born June 1, 1911, in Oklahoma City to Edward William and Gertrude Hunter Menke. She lived in Quincy, Ill., until age 9, when the family moved to Pensacola, Fla. She moved to San Diego in 1924, and had lived in Eugene since 1942.
She married Lido L. Zamorano on Aug. 9, 1929, in San Diego. He died in June 1985.
She enjoyed Scrabble and Rummy, growing flowers and gardening, crocheting, and talking to people about the Bible. She was a Jehovah's Witness.
Survivors include two daughters, Clara Long and Anita Melhorn, both of Eugene; a son, David of Oregon City; a brother, Warren Menke of Merlin; a sister, Margaret Erro of Eugene; and 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. A son, Ramon, died previously.
