Surrounded by the love of her family, Beatrice Dolly Morgan peacefully passed on December 12, 2012 at the age of 83 in Portland, Oregon. Bea was a feisty lady who will be remembered for her kind and giving heart and her stubborn persistence to stand by her convictions.
Bea was born in Saint Helens, Oregon on July 1, 1929 to parents Mary Knighton and Bennie Brown whom she never met. Unfortunately he did not know about her. She grew up on a house boat owned by her grand parents, Jake and Nelly Knighton near Woodland WA on the Lewis River. She was also brought up in Saint Helen's. Oregon with her 2 brothers and 1 sister. Even as a young child Bea's true talent came through; that being a doting caretaker to the elderly and sick. As a child she took care of her blind grandfather; often spending hours reading to him or describing to him the events of the day. Although she only attended school to the second grade she was smart as a whip and continued to self-educate herself through her passion for reading.
She married young and had her son, Fredrick Lloyd Mann at the age of 17. Later she found a life partner with "Tex" William Orville Morgan and had her two daughters Mary and Pearl. Bea was the best kind of mom. She was kind, fair and loving but she also was strict and adhered to her own rules. She truly wanted the best for each of her children. It was important to her that her children know how to take responsibility and how to stand up for themselves. Although there was much joy in Bea's life she did endure many hardships including the death of her beloved companion Tex. She was a strong woman and made it through that terrible time and eventually she found love again and married Robert Vigue.
Bea was absolutely overjoyed to become a grandmother, often times attending the birth of each grandbaby. She was still strict and enforced rules but she also shared her energetic fun loving side with each child.
Bea loved country music and when the mood was right loved to dance. She read avidly and was always up for a lively conversation with friends and family. She was a petite gal, but incredibly strong both in body and spirit. She was deeply loved by her friends and family and will be dearly missed.
She is predeceased by her parents, Mary Marie Knighton and Bennie Joshley Brown, partner, "Tex" William Orville Morgan, children Frederick Lloyd Mann and Mary Louella Morgan and siblings, William Roy Tanner, Frederick Roy Tanner, Vernon Brown, Virgil Brown, Anna Sabin-Brown, Debra Brown, Mary Brown, Betty Jane Unger and Sandra Brown and grandson Decon Lloyd Mann. She leaves to cherish her memory: a daughter, Pearl Boswell. Sister Pearl Marie Tanner, Grandchildren, Christina Marie Morgan, William James Boyd, Timothy Lloyd Mann, James Eugene Mann, Christopher John Morgan-Espinoza, Great Grandchildren, Isidro Campovere, Dionicio Paz-Morgan, Wyatt James Martinez, Keenan Espinosa and Jewel Espinosa. Siblings, Bennie Joshley Brown, Douglas Brown, Andrew Brown, Ivan Brown, Daniel Brown and Stephen Brown and many nieces, nephews, cousins extended family and friends.

She truly was the absolute best mom ever! She did all she could for her kids. It was very important that family remained close. Family was always number one with her. There was nothing that would ever come ahead of her family.
She is so very missed.
