John T. Pritchett
Carnesville, GA -- John T. (Jake) Pritchett, 63, of Rt. 3, Carnesville, died early Saturday morning in Cobb Memorial Hospital following an illness of about one year.
He was a son of the late Jesse and Elizabeth Ayers Pritchett, and had lived most of his life in Franklin County. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church.
Survivors: his widow, Mrs. Reba (Pritchett) Pritchett, of the home; one son, George Pritchett of Carnesville; four daughters, Mrs. Lindsey Barnes of Toccoa, Mrs. Jake Carey of Carnesville, Mrs. Wendell Roach and Mrs. Furman Holcomb of Lavonia; three brothers, Ray and Alonzo Pritchett of Carnesville, Odell Pritchett of Toccoa; one sister, Mrs. L.W. Ayers of Toccoa; nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Zion Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mr. Marcengill, the Rev. A. H. Nash and the Rev. Fred Cobb officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at the residence with Ginn Funeral Home in charge.
Originally buried at Mt. Zion. Moved to Franklin Memorial Gardens.
