YORK Paul Joseph Kemper, Jr., 55, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2010, in Darlington, Md. He was the loving husband of Debra A. (Myers) Kemper. The couple celebrated 28 years of marriage on September 11, 2010. Born September 4, 1955, in York, he was a son of Paul J. and Peggy M. (Hamilton) Kemper, Sr. of Glen Rock. Paul had 18 years of service as a tool and die maker for Weichert Machining in Glen Rock. He previously worked 17 years for Caterpillar. Paul attended Dover Bethany U.M. Church. He loved spending time outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer. He could also fix just about anything and would do anything for anybody. In addition to his wife and parents, Paul is survived by a daughter, Ashtyn Rae Kemper of Greensboro, N.C.; three brothers, Ronald E. Kemper and his wife, Sandy of Seven Valleys, Gerald A. Kemper and his wife, Sue of Spring Grove, and Barry M. Kemper and his wife, Stacey of Denver, Pa.; father and mother-in-law, Donald and Elaine Myers of Dover; brother-in-law, Steven Myers and his companion, Ada Bond of York; sister-in-law, Sue Meyer and her husband, Ken of Benezette, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Paul's memorial service at 10 a.m. and the visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Dover Bethany U.M. Church, 4510 Bull Road, Dover. Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. Brad Gilbert. Emig Funeral Home, Dover, is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Dover Bethany U.M. Church, 4510 Bull Road, Dover, PA 17315; or your favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
