Lisa Dawn Belviy Mahoney, 49 years, 5 months and 20 days of age, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, departed this life and entered into eternal peace at 4:10 p.m. on Monday, January 28th, 2013 after a courageous seven year battle with cancer.

Lisa was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana on Thursday, August 8th, 1963, daughter of Dorothy Crunk Belviy and the late Glenn R. "Pete" Belviy. She was a stay at home mother who worked at Horner Novelty before her illness. She loved getting together with her family and friends, especially at her annual Halloween Party.

Lisa was survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Rick Mahoney, whom she married on Saturday, July 25th, 1987; two sons, Ricky Mahoney and Timmy Mahoney; her mother, Dorothy Belviy; three siblings, Glenna (and Kenny) Ryan of Wilmington, North Carolina, Greg (and Debbie) Belviy, and Mike Belviy; seven brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug Mahoney, Pat Glass, Jeri Goss, Sharon Stuart, Andrea Eicher, Brenda Cook, and Debbie Gedling; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her father, Pete Belviy, who departed this life on February 20th, 1992; and one sister-in-law, Gina Greenwell.

Visitations were held at the Legacy Funeral Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana on Thursday, January 31st, 2013 from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday, February 1st from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral services.

Funeral services were held in the Chapel of the Legacy Funeral Center at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1st, 2013.

Burial followed in the Walnut Ridge Cemetery.

THIS IS A TRIBUTE IN MEMORY OF LISA,

If you could see me now you wouldn't shed a tear, Though you may not understand why I'm no longer there. Remember my spirit, that is the real me because I'm still very much alive, I've just been set free. Oh, if you could only see!

I have held our Father's face and I've touched my Savior's hand. All of Heaven's angels rejoiced as I entered the promised land. Beyond the gates of pearl I've walked on the golden streets.

I've touched the walls of jasper and dipped my foot in the crystal sea. The beauty is beyond words and nothing could compare, I've even seen our Lords mansion and someday I'll meet you there. Let Jesus be your guide because "His Word" will show you the way. So please don't cry because we will meet again someday.
