Alfred Armstrong Dies At Age Of 72
Alfred Armstrong, 72, of 372 North Washington Street, died last night at 5:30 in General Hospital, where he was admitted on March 23 as a medical patient.
Born at Larksville, May 15, 1884, Mr. Armstrong was a son of the late John T. and Mary Jane Williams Armstrong. He lived in Kingston most of his life and the past 10 years he resided in this city. He was employed as a salesman for Frey Brothers Store, Wilkes-Barre, for 35 years, retiring when the store went out of business. Mr. Armstrong was a member of First Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Alice Lacey; children, Mrs. Glenn Ridgeway, and Mrs. Edward E. House, both of Rahway, N. J.; Mrs. Russell Steiner and Alfred L., both of Phoenix, Ariz.; Lee T., Albuquerque, New Mexico; Robert L., Winter Haven, Fla., and John T., Washington, N. J.; a brother, James W., Newark, N. J.; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Snowdon Funeral Home, 64 North Franklin Street.
