William "Bill" Damrell (82) of Laguna Woods, CA passed away Sunday, May 28, 2006 in Laguna Hills, California of cancer. He was born January 24, 1924 in Bloomington, Indiana. Bill served his country as a member of the United States Coast Guard. He was employed by the County of Los Angeles as a refrigeration engineer. He was a member of the Newport Beach Elk's Lodge, a member of Geneva Presbyterian Church of Laguna Woods and was a past president of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society. Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, Billie Faye Damrell; Daughter, Patsy Howard (William A.); son, John W. Damrell (Angela); Grandchildren, Julie Yule, Victoria Aikman, Tyler Fain, Amy and Andrew Damrell; great-grandchildren, Christian Barnett and Austin and Donovan Yule; Brother, Jack Damrell and sister, Martha Schaefer. Viewing will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2006 at Westminster Memorial Park Mortuary, 14801 Beach Blvd., Westminster, California. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at Westminster Mortuary with entombment to follow at Westminster Memorial Park.
