Rosamond received her early education in Illinois and Indiana and later graduated in Yonkers, New York.
She met the love of her life, Joseph H. Adams, at a USO dance during the war and they married five months later on August 19, 1944 in New York City. Three children, Joseph Jr., Deborah and Lawrence blessed this union.
Rosamond was a homemaker enjoying her 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and anything else that involved her family. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed teaching all of her granddaughters to bake. She enjoyed her beautiful rose garden, baking, needlework, bird watching, reading and playing bridge. She and Joe loved traveling, including a mission trip to Guatemala. In her early years, she was involved with both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and was also a member of the PTA, Research Club and P.E.O.
Those who preceded Rosamond in death were parents; husband, Dr. Joseph Henry Adams, Sr.; brothers, Sam Hyde, Joe (Mary) Hyde, Walter Hyde, Raymond (Vivian) Hyde, Charles (Helen) Hyde; sisters, Adelia "Dee" (Harley) Marden, Charlotte Hyde, and Florence Hyde.
Rosamond leaves to cherish her memory; son, Joseph H. Adams Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Deborah Adams of Osceola, IA and son, Lawrence (Barbara) Adams of Dallas, TX . She also leaves her grandchildren, Chad (Leah) Adams of Altanta, GA; Cass (Mark) Barron of Manchester, TN; Conner and Sarah Adams of Jacksonville, FL; Timothy (Tamara) Adams of Frisco, TX; Kristen (Jay) Scott of Mt. Vernon, TX; Meghan Adams of Dallas, TX; great-grandchildren, Mary Catherine, Sarah Frances, Elizabeth Ann, Margaret Hyde, William Mark, Audrey Lynn, Piper Elizabeth, Paxton William, Olivia Meghan, Gable Rose, Madison McKee, and Kate Hansine and several nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and many friends.
