C. W. Atha was born December 23, 1924 northeast of Sweetwater, Oklahoma on the family homestead to Eddie Lee and Calvin William Atha. He passed away November 7, 2011 at Clinton, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years, 10 months and 14 days.C. W. was raised in the Cotton Store community and attended school at Brookside and Sweetwater. He was married to Annie Belle (Bryan) at Greasy Corner Assembly of God Church, Sweetwater, Oklahoma on November 29, 1941. They lived and made their home in Roger Mills County where C. W. farmed. C. W. served as County Commissioner for District 1 in Roger Mills County during the early 1980's. They moved to Clinton in February of 2010 to make their home.He was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 son, Bob.He is survived by his wife, Annie Belle, of the home; 2 sons, Floyd Atha and wife, Nancy, Yukon, OK, Fred Atha and wife, Jeanette, Clinton, OK; 7 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchlildren, 1 Great Great Granddaughter, host of other relatives and friends.Service:Services will be held Friday, November 11, 2011 at 10:00 am at Whinery-Savage Chapel officiated by J A Farber. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service
