Rachel Oneil Myers, passed away January 23, 2013. She was born April 12, 1925 in Union Grove, Iredell County, North Carolina.

After Rachel's education she was employed by the FBI in Washington, D.C. where she met her future husband, Chester E. Boxx. She later worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She held many Ward and Stake callings and the one most dear to her was the 15 years of service in the Orlando Temple beside her loving husband.

Survivors include her children, Eugene Boxx (Raina), Debra Johns (William), Dennis Boxx (Dianna), Janice Self (Richard), brother LewisMartin Myers (Betty), 11 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Mrs. Boxx was pre- deceased by her loving husband of 65 years just five months ago; her parents, Rufus Martin and Addie Roena Nicholson Myers and 1 brother Rufus Martin Myers, Jr.

After Chester's death, Rachel remained in Jacksonville at the home of her youngest daughter. Mrs. Boxx was a loving mother, Sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother who touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

The viewing will be held Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida 32221. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fraser Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Peoria Cemetery on Jefferson Ave. in Orange Park, Florida.
