Funeral rites were held at 11 am Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dubuque, for Mrs. Anna Baxter, 79, of Dubuque, nation regent of the Catholic Daughters of America. She died Saturday evening, Jan. 10, after a three week illness. Mrs. Baxter had visited the Catholic Daughters of America court in Carroll many times. The first Midwesterner to be elected national leader of the organization of 225,000 women, she was state regent for six years.

Survivors include a daughter, two sons, 12 grandchildren.
