The deceased is the daughter of Samuel J. and Georgia A. (House) Highland of Nicholas County. According to their family bible, they had a daughter Birdie Lee, b. Jan. 25, 1881 and d. Sept. 22, 1881. The bible record was published in The Hoosier Genealogist, Sept. 1996, p. 178, and submitted by Vernon L. Threlkeld. One of Samuel’s brothers is the gr-grandfather of this writer, VLT.
