Deseret News, The (Salt Lake City, UT) - December 28, 1996. Deceased Name: DEATH: ELEANOR PAGE HOBBS. Eleanor Page (Ellie) Hobbs, our sweet mother, grandmother, sister and friend, died at home on December 26, 1996 after a courageous battle with cancer. Her quiet display of courage and dignity during her illness was remarkable. Her family was the most important thing in her life. Because of her unselfish and giving nature, many other lives were made happier. We will miss her but we have wonderful memories. Ellie was born July 1, 1909 in Woods Cross, Utah to Willis and Nellie Ray Brown Page. Married Royal Wesley Hobbs September 12, 1931, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ellie worked for many years at Keeley's and at the Doll House.

Survived by a daughter, Rae (Bob) Lortsher; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; sister, Gayle Christensen; and son-in-law, Floyd Thompson.

Preceded in death by her husband, and a daughter, Bonnie Thompson. Funeral services will be Monday, December 30, 1996, at 12 Noon, at the Larkin Mortuary Chapel, 260 East South Temple, where friends and family may call Sunday, 6-8 p.m., and Monday one hour prior to services. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
