"Mrs. Araminta Drane Barker, 79, wife of Edwin A. Barker, died at 3:15 a.m. yesterday at her residence on the Cleveland pike following an illness of several months.
Mrs. Barker was a native of Henry county, a daughter of the late B.F. and Betty McDonald Drane. A resident of Fayette county for 57 years, she was a member of the First Baptist church, winchester. Mrs. Barker was educated in public schools of Henry and Oldham counties.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edith B. Stivers, Fayette county and Mrs. Walter J. Pollard, St. Louis, Mo; two sons, L.A. Barker, Fayette county, and C.E.Barker, Lexington; three sisters, Mrs. H. Miller Lail and Miss Frances Drane, both of Paris, and Mrs. Richard Watkins, Smithfield; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren."
