Funeral services for Will Ed Blackmon, 76, a Vaiden farmer, were held Saturday, Jan. 11, 1986, at 3 p.m. from Midway Methodist. Blackmon died Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Winona Manor Nursing Home.
Services were preached by the Rev. C.L. Robinson and burial was in the church's cemetery.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Gilliam and Mrs. Shirley Dixon, both of Chicago, and Mrs. Dora Bailey of West, four sons, Willie Blackmon of Albuquerque, N.M., John L. Blackmon of Vaiden, and James Blackmon and Robert Blackmon, both of Chicago, a sister, Mrs. Hattie Garland of Los Angeles, and a brother, Charles Blackmon of Oxford.
Roberts and Sons Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
