Mrs. Blalock passed away on Saturday, Oct. 13. She was a graduate of Cabell-Huntington Hosptial School of Radiologic Technology in 1970, Marshall University with an associate's degree in nursing in 1978, and a bachelor of science degree in allied health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1993. She worked as a registered nurse for Southview Medical Group since 1996. She was also a world traveler and always looked for ways to expand her horizon.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Bud Blalock Jr.; two daughters, Kathryn Blalock Henry of Fultondale and Martha Blalock of Orlando, Fla.; four grandchildren, Alex, Gracie, Logan and Lilly; five brothers; and three sisters, and her mother, Mary Sue Curnutte Mains.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hope Hospice for their exceptional care of Pat.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
