America "Quita" Flynn Boyers departed this life on January 6, 2001 at Pulaski Community Hospital, after a brief illness.

She was born November 4, 1913 in Mobile. Alabama, and was the daughter of Robert and Rafaela Flynn.

She was once very active in her church. She was a member of Clark's Chapel United Methodist Church, and the Randolph Avenue United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Administrative Board serving on the Nominations Committee and the Evangelism Committee; a member of the United Methodist Women, the Frances Johnson Circle; a member of the Christian Social Concern and Welfare; sang in the Senior Choir and the Parish Choir; was on the Kitchen Committee and regularly attended Sunday School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Rafaela Flynn. step-mother, Arminda Lynn, her husband, Arthur Lee Boyers and a daughter, Jane Edmonds.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kathy Boyers of Dublin; three daughters, Connie Gardner of Washington, D.C., Yvonne Boyers of Charlotte, N.C. and Gina Fisher of Reseda, Calif.; a sister Virginia Fielder of Washington, D.C.; 14 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren. 13 . great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; a god-daughter and a host of nieces. nephews and family friends.

She showed love and was loved by many and she will be greatly missed Visitation and the funeral will be held Friday, January 13. 2001 at Randolph Avenue Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until time of the service. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. with Rev Leroy Henry and Rev. Dr. Anthony Daniels. Interment will follow at the Pinehurst Cemetery in Pulaski. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home in Pulaski.
