Mae E. Andersen Died at Blair on Wednesday

Mae Evelyn Andersen, widow of the late Arthur W. Andersen, died Wednesday, November 30th at the Blair Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Andersen was 69 years of age, having been born February 24th, 1908, at Orum, Nebraska.

Following her husband's death she has been living at 1361 Park street in Blair.

Mae Evelyn Petersen was born Feb. 24, 1908 on a farm in the Orum area to Lars and Kirstine Petersen. She was baptized at the First Methodist Church in Herman. She attended the Rose Hill Schools and went to Sunday School at the Rose Hill Church.

On April 24, 1929, Mae was married to Arthur W. Andersen, they farmed in the area west of Herman until Arthur's death in 1971. She later moved to Blair.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Ardith (Mrs. Don) Rasmussen, and Carol (Mrs. David) Kuhr, 2 sisters: Alice (Mrs. Wm.) Vogt and Olga (Mrs. Eggert) Wulf, both of Blair and 1 brother, Howard H. Petersen (102916933)of Arlington, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. Also, she leaves behind many other loving relatives and friends. Mae's hobby was her children and grandchildren whom she loved and spent many hours with. She worshipped her Lord and attended church with her daughters at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Orum. For over 30 years she was an active member of the New England Club with her friends and neighbors. Reading was one of her favorite pasttimes. She loved gardening and flowers and spent many hours outside. She loved her plants and flowers and they grew and flourished like the people whose lives she touched. To know her wa to love her. Funeral services were held last Friday, December 2, at the First Lutheran Church in Blair, the Rev. Robert Albers and the Rev. John Petersen conducting the funeral service. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary. Pallbearers were Larry Petersen, Leland Vogt, Glen Vogt, Ervin Wulf, Vernon Wulf and Howard Loftis.
