Linden Cass County Texas, USA Funeral services were held at 8:30 a.m. Friday January 9 at the Emanuel Baptist Church in Lafayette, La. for Frank Segrest JR. age 60. Segrest died at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday in Lafayette General Hospital. Burial was in the Linden Cemetery in Linden Texas.
Segrest, a native of Kirbyville, had lived in Lafayette for 9 years. He was an oil field Chemist for Avery & Mining Sego Chemical Company. He was a past member of the Odessa Texas Masonic Lodge, Knights Templar and a former member of the Midland Lions and Toastmasters Club.
Survivors include his wife the former Pearl [Cora] Belle Hawthorne of Lafayette; two daughters, Mrs. Bill Dews of Abilene, and Mrs. Jack Sanders of Marshall; two sons, James F. Segrest and John Charles Segrest of Lafayette; two half sisters Mrs. Merle Bostic and Mrs. Dollie Beard of Kirbyville; two half brothers , J.E. Segrest of Texarkana and Woodrow Hobson of California and four grandchildren.
