Rena was born in Albuquerque, NM on August 7, 1929.
Rena attended numerous schools and later worked for the Corps of Engineers for 39 years.
Nena enjoyed sewing, dancing, and the company of her family. Anyone who knew Rena would agree that she was a strong, dedicated woman and will be greatly missed.
Rena had a large family including her son, Reginald Flores, grandchildren, Renee, Daniel, Rachel, Vanessa, Matea Flores and many great-grandchildren, brother, Manuel García, sisters, Toni Ewing and Tommie Smith and several nieces and nephews.
Rena was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Guadalupe García, sister, Pauline Salcido and brother, Delfino García.
A Rosary service will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW. Interment is to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
