Mary Ella is buried in an unmarked grave in the same row as her son in law Ernest E. Gunnell, husband of her daughter Clara. Next to her also un-marked are 2 of her grandchildren, children of Ernest and Clara. Leslie age 6 was killed in a storm Feb.25,1909, Tennis Mae died May 26, 1927 (she was the wife of George Cox). As recalled by her youngest son James Luther Baxter Mary Ella died just a few years after the family came to Lonoke County from Panola County Mississipi. She was the wife of William Thomas Baxter (Carlisle Cemetery, Lonoke County) and Mother of Mary Bertha "Bird", Clara, Groven Cleveland, Lillian Mae, Verser C. and James Luther and also my great grandmother.

All the children have burial records but Mary Bertha Baxter Holden. Holden family history ntoes she died in Carlisle and her husband took her back to Mississippi to be buried. It is not know where in Mississippi she is buried Como cemetery in Panolas County is where the family thinks she may be.
