Tyson Burial this Morning
Memorial services for Verdie May Tyson, 81 were in the First Christian Church of Hemet this morning at 10:30am. Mrs. Tyson died Saturday at a local convalescent hospital. Interment was private. Virgin Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tyson came to California 18 years ago and moved to Hemet in 1963. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Hemet.
Survivors include her son Robert Tyson of Salem, Ohio; a stepson Glen H Blosser of Blasdell, NY; a stepdaughter Bernice Wakefield of Orrville, Ohio and a Cousin Effie Martin of Youngstown, Ohio.

Virtie Mae Detrow married Frank Tyson May 20, 1924. Virtie was Frank's 3rd wife.
He first married Dora May Brown August 1, 1901, she was the daughter of Charles Edward Brown & Barbara McAffee. She died September 8, 1907 - 8 days after her 4 day old son died. She was in failing health for over a year or more. Dora & Frank had 3 children;

Baby Boy Tyson - born Aug 27, 1907 died Aug 31, 1907
Frank then married Nellie A Blosser April 3, 1909, She was the daughter of Henry Blosser & Mary Detwiler. Nellie died December 4, 1913 as a result of an explosion.
Frank & Nellie had 1 child
Galen H Tyson born November 27, 1912 - after the death of his mother Galen went to live with his maternal grandparents - Henry & Mary Blosser. I believe his name was legally changed to Galen H Blosser.
Frank married Virtie May 20, 1924, she was the daughter of
John H Detrow & Barbara Martin
They had 1 child together which was my grandfather Robert LeRoy Tyson
