Graveside services for Pearley M. Byrne, 85, of New Albany, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, at Horner's Chapel, Fredericksburg. She died at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services, New Albany.

She was the former Pearley Ballew, a native of Palmyra. She was a retired cook and waitress, and a member of the V.F.W. Post 3281 and American Legion Post 28.

Survivors include five sons, Roger Byrne, of New Albany, Edward Byrne, of Texas, Kenneth Byrne, of Jeffersonville, and Daniel and Glenn Byrne, of Georgia; daughter, Deborah "Murph" Crider, of Clarksville; three brothers, Rickey Ballew, of Memphis, and Chester and Ronald Ballew, of New Albany; sister, Betty Kopp, of Clarksville; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward M. Byrne, son, Stephen Byrne, sisters, Barbara Ambers and Reba Lynninger, and parents, Lloyd and Esther Ballew.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family, in care of the funeral home.
