Violet Cushey, 85, of Venetia, died Friday, March 28, 2008, in McMurray Hills Manor, McMurray. She was born November 6, 1922, in Monongahela, a daughter of Natale and Rose Stella Trunzo. Mrs. Cushey was a homemaker and was Catholic. Surviving are her husband, David "Pert" Cushey; two sons, David (Gus) Cushey and wife Vicki of Finleyville and Don A. Cushey and wife Irma of Washington; a daughter, Cheri Agostinelli of Venetia; a sister, Stella Engott of Houston; five grandchildren, David A. Cushey, Dana Cushey, Terri Bove, Dean Cushey O'Neil and Denis Cushey O'Neil; and six great-grandchildren, Jessica, Tyler, Alexis, David, Chelsea and Cassie. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Finleyville, with the Rev. Robert J. Boyle as celebrant. Interment will follow in Finleyville Cemetery. 3-30-2008
