J. I. Barnes Died Last Monday Night.
John I. Barnes, well-known citizen of this county, died at his home near Midway Church last Monday night at 12 o'clock. Mr. Barnes suffered a stroke of paralysis last Sunday at noon, and this caused his death. He was in his 63rd year and had lived in this county practically all his live.
The deceased is survived by his wife and one son, Joe Barnes; one sister, Mrs. L. A. Mathews, of Columbus, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Midway Church Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. L. P. Thornburg, the pastor. Interment was in Midway cemetery.
