Franklin was married to Mary Alice for many years. he was a dedicated husband and father. he was a worked on the railroad for many years. he started in Dixon Illinois and worked the railroad all the way to California. he built the glory hole out at whiskeytown when Kennedy was in office. Kennedy also came.to redding to dedicate it after Franklin built it. he also built the railroad up on dunsmir Calif. he worked.so much he had a heart attack and died leaving in daughter and his wife behind. my grandfather was life long member of the masons.
