W. T. Harmon was born to Stephen Harmon and Susan Haguewood in Choctaw County, Alabama. He married Etoila B. Wiley on December 12, 1918 in Lisman, Choctaw, Alabama, and they eventually moved to Mississippi. After Etoila's death, W. T. married Myrtis Mangrum Whiddon, who he was married to until his death. He is buried next to his first wife, Etoila Harmon.

He was known to be a University of Alabama baseball fan.

Wash T. Harmon, 92, of 3317 Whitten Road, a retired licensed practical nurse, died of heart failure Wednesday at the Jackson Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Services are 9:30 a.m. Friday at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home with burial in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today.
Mr. Harmon, a native of Butler, Ala., was a member of the Forest Hill Baptist Church. He had lived in Jackson for more than 50 years. He retired from the Veterans Administration Medical Center as a licensed practical nurse with 20 years of service.
He was a member of the Pearl Masonic Lodge and Wahabi Shine Temple. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: wife, Myrtis; stepdaughter, Betty Ferguson of Ethel; and stepson, James C. Edwards of Ethel.
