Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer (Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois), Monday, July 3, 1967:
   Mrs. Frances L. Ahring, 69, of 1512 Vandalia St., Collinsville, died at her home Sunday at 1:45 a.m. She had been in ill health about a year.
   Born July 15, 1898, at Alhambra, she was a daughter of Louis and Louise (Stuckwich) Ashauer. Her husband Oscar Ahring, died in 1946.
   Survivors are one daughter, Virginia, of the Vandalia Street address, and two sisters, the Misses Alma and Elfrieda Ashauer, both of Marine.
   She was a member of the United Church of Christ and the Missionary Circle of the Church and the American Legion Auxiliary at Marine.
   Visitation will be at the Halleman Funeral Home in Marine this afternoon and evening. Funeral services will be held at the church there at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. R.H. Hosto will officiate. Burial will be in the Marine cemetery.
   Casketbearers will be Norman Grotefendt, Henry Hollmann, Zane Austin, Emil Hessel, George Wilhelm and Leo Weber.
