Michael H. Fitzgerald, 59, of White Oak, died Friday, May 17, 2002, at his residence. Services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, May 20, 2002, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kenneth Cline officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.

Michael was born in Longview, Texas, to the late Haskell M. and Penny Ford Fitzgerald. He graduated from Longview High School in 1960 and attended Kilgore College. He married Susan McIntosh on May 9, 1977. Michael was an employee of L. E. Myers Electrical Contractors and a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 324.

He was an avid gun enthusiast and an active member of the National Rifle Association. He served for six years with the U.S. National Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Susan, of White Oak; son, Michael C. Fitzgerald and wife, Nickie, of Waskom; daughter, Janis Kay Shelton Newton and husband, Scott, of White Oak; grandchildren: Makayla Nichole Fitzgerald, Krystal and Rachel Ludy, all of Waskom, and Lane Scott Newton, of White Oak; mother and father-in-law, Edna and T. D. McIntosh, of Longview; brother-in-law, Charles McIntosh and wife, Cindy, of Kilgore; sister-in-law, Kathy Bailey and husband, Bill, of Nederland; aunt, Jennie Ford, of Longview; and several cousins.
