Figure Skating Champion, Disaster Victim. A competition ice skater, he had been a member of the 1960 United States Figure Skaing Team. He and his partner Dona Lee Carrier had been the silver medalists for the 1961 United States and North American Dance competition. They perished along with the entire United States Figure Skating Team in a plane crash near Kampenhout, Belgium while en route to the Worlds Figure Skating Championship in Prague, Czechoslovakia.
