Philip Sonny Albanese, 81, of Stroudsburg, formerly of Bangor, died Saturday, August 27, 2011 in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. Born: March 15, 1930 in Roseto, he was a son of the late Anthony and Jennie Ferretti Albanese. Personal: Philip was an Army veteran of the Korean War, serving in Germany for two years. He was a mechanic for Eighth Street Motors, Bangor. Philip and his wife, the former Rose Confalone, were married 57 years. Memberships: Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Roseto. Survivors: Wife, Rose; daughter, Janice of Stroudsburg. Two brothers, Michael and Leonard, and one sister, Antoinette Ciliberti, all died earlier. Services: Wednesday, August 31, 2011, 9:30 a.m. in the Campanaro Funeral Home, 841 Slate Belt Blvd., Bangor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the church. Burial in New Catholic Cemetery, Roseto. Calling hours Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Memorials: to Our Lady of Mt.
