Bette E. Puskac, 88, passed away Nov . 29. 2005 in Phoenix, AZ. Bette was born in Clinton, IL on Oct. 20, 1917, to Arthur and Mary McAboy. Joining the Army as an RN in 1944, she served during World War II in the South Pacific and was later discharged to work in Danville, IL at the local Veteran's Hospital. In later years, she and her husband, Joseph, moved to Port Charlotte, FL for retirement. In 1997, the couple moved to Phoenix to be with family.
Bette was best known for her love of bingo, her stash of candy, and her loyal service to our country. She loved ceramics, polka music, and most of all, her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Joseph Puskac; and sister, Helen Maxine Judge. She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Roseman Walkup of Chandler; granddaughter, Lauren Roseman of Mesa, AZ; great-grandson Kiefer Roseman; nephew, Jay S. Judge (Deborah) of Chicago; nieces, Mary Ferrill (Jim) of Ft. Myers, Rita Itera Clehouse (Richard) of Fayetteville.

Interment will be at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery in Clinton, IL.
