Pauline Fertitta "Nana" Allen, 82, resident of Castle Rock Care Center, Castle Rock, Colorado, died Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at Sky Ridge Medical Center in Lone Tree, Colorado.

Graveside services to be held on Saturday, October 9th, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum, Gulfport, Mississippi.

Pauline Fertitta was born on July 5, 1922 in Mobile, Alabama, the daughter of Sam and Gertrude (Cantonese) Fertitta. She was raised in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and graduated from Hattiesburg High School. On June 1, 1947 Pauline married Reavis Edwin Allen. Mr. Allen preceded her in death on May 31, 2000, just one day before their 53rd wedding anniversary. A homemaker, she was a former member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach, Mississippi, and Queen of Mercy Catholic Church in Montgomery, Alabama. She was a longtime resident of Montgomery, Alabama, and an original member of Management Group for the Governors House Hotel and Conference Center. Mrs. Allen was a longtime supporter of National Brain Tumor Foundation.

Mrs. Allen is also preceded in death by a son, Frank Wesley Allen on March 24, 1995.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Wendy Allen, Castle Rock, CO.; granddaughter and husband, Amy & James Hall, Sisters, Oregon; and granddaughter, Stacy Allen, Birmingham, AL.; grandsons and wives, Brad & Lara Allen, Denver, Colorado; Matt and Carrie Allen, Castle Rock, CO; great-grandchildren, Chase Hall, Sisters, OR; Zachary Allen , Denver, CO; and great-granddaughter, Lucy Kate Allen, Castle Rock, CO; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Alice Fertitta, Gaithersburg, Maryland; sister Theresa Fertitta, Biloxi, Mississippi; sister and brother-in-law, Gertrude and Burch Aldridge and family of Slidell, Louisiana; sister and late brother-in-law Frances & William Groseclose and family, Houston, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Aubrey Marshall and family , Gulfport, Mississippi. Also by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Gordon & Polly Allen and family, Gulfport, Mississippi; Bruce and Linda Allen and family, Gulfport, Mississippi; and Tommy and Dessie Allen and family, Decatur, Georgia.

Pauline was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. We miss you already. A legacy of laughter. Devoted to our Lord, Jesus Christ. Now at peace with perfect Joy. We love you.
