Hope (Hildinger) Ferrell, 81, of Longview, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2002, in a Longview hospital. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 9, 2002, in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with the Dr. Laney Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
Hope was born in Bonham, Texas, to the late Homer and Elsie Hildinger. She was a resident of Longview, for 48 years, a retired teacher with the Longview Independent School District, a member of the Longview Senior Citizens Club, and a member of Mobberly Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Ferrell; and a sister, Lometa Hodge.
Survivors include her son, Randy Ferrell and wife, Becky, of Longview; daughter, Patricia Ferrell, of Houston; grandchildren: Melissa Johnson, Mindy Green Walmesley, Nathan Ferrell, and Magen Ferrell; great-grandchildren: Justin Green, Cory Johnson, Mackenize Walmesley, Tawni Hammer, Kyle Walmesley, Ali Hammer, and Heather Johnson; sister, Geraldine Laughlin, of Marshall; several nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Jim Merrill.
