Hope was born in Bonham, Texas, to the late Homer and Elsie Hildinger. She was a resident of Longview, for 48 years, a retired teacher with the Longview Independent School District, a member of the Longview Senior Citizens Club, and a member of Mobberly Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Ferrell; and a sister, Lometa Hodge.
Survivors include her son, Randy Ferrell and wife, Becky, of Longview; daughter, Patricia Ferrell, of Houston; grandchildren: Melissa Johnson, Mindy Green Walmesley, Nathan Ferrell, and Magen Ferrell; great-grandchildren: Justin Green, Cory Johnson, Mackenize Walmesley, Tawni Hammer, Kyle Walmesley, Ali Hammer, and Heather Johnson; sister, Geraldine Laughlin, of Marshall; several nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Jim Merrill.
