DAD Joshua was by occupation a shoemaker. He moved to Phillipstown (now Sanford), Maine; then to Fryeburg, ME, and finally to Chatham.
He is listed in the 1790 and 1800 US censuses of Chatham, and probably died before 1810.

Jonathan Hazelton
Revolution War veteran.
He elisted and was a private in Colonel Badger's New Hampshire regiment in 1778,enlisted in the Continental Army at Gilmanton, New Hampshire.

Jonathan Hazelton was born about 1755 and died about 1845.

He married Miss Miriam Bean, daughter of John Bean of Alfred, Massachusetts ( Now Maine).

His brother John Hazelton married Miriam's sister, Miss Sally Bean.

At some point they lived at Chatham, New Hampshire.

"Jonathan Hazelton was of Waterborough in 1794, and October the 17th of that year sold land to Tobias Lord of Wells, Massachusetts (now Maine).

September the 16th 1806 he bought for eight hundred dollars, a lot of land from Barnabas Palmer, situated in Waterborough.

April 16th, 1806, he and his wife Miriam sold land to Gilbert Hasty.

In 1820 and as late as 1840 Jonathan was recorded, again, as living at Rhode Island and receiving a pension from his Revolutionary War service.

He probably died at Chatham, New Hampshire.

JONATHAN HAZELTON, born about 1755; died about 1845, in Rhode Island; m. MIRIAM BEAN, dau. of John Bean of Alfred,(Massachusetts) Maine, and sister to Sally Bean, who m. John Hazelton, brother to Jonathan.

Miriam was b.about 1764, and died 8th of February 1852, in Stow, Me (buried at Lord Cemetery, West Lovell, Maine. In the 1850 census Miriam was living with her daughter
Susan's family in Stow. Eight children, as follows:
