Samuel P. Campbell To Be Laid To Rest
Samuel P. Campbell, esteemed resident of Grove Township, died at his home on the Augusta Road yesterday morming after several months' illness. Mr. Campbell was 79 years of age and was born and reared in Greenville County. His wife, who was Miss Anna Davenport, passed away November 14, 1918.
He is survived by the following sons and daughters: Dr. S.D. Campbell, of Piedmont; H.T. Campbell, of San Francisco, Cal., Mrs. J.S. Willis, of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. R.N. Hammond, of Greenville. Eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Campbell will be held at his late home at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon, conducted by Rev. B.M. Crosby. The following will be the pallbearers: J.H. Slatten, Sam Yeargin, James Campbell, Dave Campbell, S.N. Campbell, Arthur Campbell,W.E. Campbell and Joe Campbell.
Interment will be made in the Campbell family cemetery.
