Donald L. Epperson, 68, of Route 1, died Nov. 24, 1988, at Hutchinson Hospital. Born June 11, 1920, in Reno County, he married JoAnn Thompson June 29, 1941, at Hutchinson. A farmer for 41 years an area-wide DeKalb seed dealer for eight years, he was a lifetime resident of Hutchinson.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Lysle Rishel Post No. 68 of the American Legion, both of Hutchinson, past president of the Whiteside Co-op, and served on the state board of the Kansas Association of Wheat Growers. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors: wife, of the home; son, Dennis, Route 2; daughters, Judy Wray, Liberal, Donita Parks and Andra Hutchinson, both of Route 1; sisters Genevieve Pembleton, Olathe, Ruth Coons, Bessemer, Alabama; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Zion Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, Pastor Grant Housewright. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Johnson and Sons Funeral Home, Hutchinson. Memorials may go to the church or to the donor's choice.
