RANSOM - Janice B. Bowman, 69, of Ransom, died Thursday afternoon, May 24, at St. Mary's Hospital in Streator.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hagi Funeral Home in Streator. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Streator.
Mrs. Bowman was born June 14, 1937, in Holland, Mich., to LeRoy and Cornelia (Kollean) Petersen. She married Victor S. Bowman May 18, 1957. He died Feb. 20, 1999.
She attended York high school.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Ron) Highland of Ransom and Karen (Thomas) Stadel of Dwight; a son, Geary (Jalayne) Bowman of Joliet; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Judith (Terry) Russell of Roselle.
She was preceded in death by her husband and sisters, Vickie, Barbara Bowman and Sharon Sonenberg.
